Zone Polyphenol Plus

30 Capsules: Serve 1 per day

Zone Polyphenols combines 17 different varieties of isolated polyphenols from fruits and vegetables. This supplement, in an easy to swallow 300mg capsule, has also been shown to have significant anti-inflammatory properties. There are more than 4,000 known polyphenols, and the richest sources are fruits and vegetables. In general, the more color a fruit or vegetable has, the richer the polyphenol content.1 The Bulletin of the World Health Organization found that in the US, individual consumption of fruits and vegetables is significantly less than the recommendation 5 to 13 servings of fruits and vegetables daily.2 The US Department of Agriculture found that those aged 2 years and older have an average vegetable intake of only 3 servings a day, mostly comprising of starchy vegetables, specifically white potatoes that are virtually absent in polyphenols.3 Zone Polyphenols makes it quick and simple to obtain adequate polyphenols to reduce free radicals and inflammation; one serving of Zone Polyphenols (1 capsule per day) is the antioxidant equivalent of approximately 3-5 servings of fruits and vegetables while also supplying anti-inflammatory benefits.

All polyphenols have anti-oxidant properties that can be measured by their Oxygen Radical Absorption Capacity (ORAC), but not all polyphenols have anti-inflammatory properties. The polyphenols in Zone Polyphenols have been carefully chosen to have both.

ORAC Equivalents

  • ½ cup serving of fresh fruit contains anywhere from 200-1300 ORAC units depending on the fruit selected. The average American serving of fruits or vegetables provides about 300 ORAC units.
  • One serving (1 capsule) of Zone Polyphenols contains approximately 1500 ORAC units.
